I was watching X-Factor ( a UK version of American Idol) on the telly at the time. One phrase caught my attention..."I'm your shadow on the ground". I knew i won't be sleeping early that night.
when day brings pain
gently face the rising sun
feel the warmth of its embrace
like i was in your arms
when night seems lonely
stare at the countless stars
i am the brightest of them
looking down on you from midnight sky
when moment appears unbearable
close your eyes and listen well
the wind is whispering softly
in the most caressing way
when memories haunt your dreams
and waking hours hurt still
remember that song, story reveals
of a melody our hearts once sing
you see, even when i’m gone
i never really left your side
i am all around you
until the end of time
eng

Beautiful poem, Eng, and inspiring positive thoughts..
Awwww, it requires more of me ... its inspiring, you write more and I will read more ... hehehh ... I can write poems too but depends upon circumstances.. I have written two in my blog ...

I'll remember this wherever I am.
"when night seems lonely
stare at the countless stars
I am the brightest of them..."
I know... I feel... I believe... he is there!
I will never tire of your poetic murmurings, girl. Beautiful piece! Love you!
eng, i was at your site first (poetic murmurings) before i went here, i was so touched with your post there about the hands that rock the cradle, you made me cry...it is very lovely post Eng, and the picture there was so striking, touches the deepest of the emotion, and so is the poem here as well, very beautiful
betchai, you made me cry as well. after i read your comment here i went back straight away to my site and then i see it as you saw it....it brings out such emotion and touches you like a memory.
when i snap that my thought goes on how will i transform it to something that will make one think of one's mother...and i'm glad you feel that way.
Beautiful poem Ms. Eng...you made me cry...,the same way that I cried when I visited your poetic murmurings blog. (Reminded me of my dad [ I am the only girl in the family and my dad used to cuddle me kahit malaki na ako]).
Palagi kong binibisita ang blog mo though hindi makapag comment kasi naka disable ang comments. After reading this poem, binalikan ko kaagad yung poem ko na nagawa para sa Dad ko. Oh my...i really don't want to cry but you made me cry.
Of course, I noticed the image too. Splendid! Beautiful.
Engtot your poem is beautiful very inspiring...
