Sluggishly Slow

Photobucket

There's something you just can't rush. This gentle and shy creature gave me cramps. I was on all four waiting for it to grace me a glimpse of its head. Not only was it shy, it was also the size of Ysabelle's - my daughter - pinky's tip. It was testing my patience - something i am hardly in abundance. A movement, a flash and my daughter's constant droppings of petals on it makes it more difficult than it already was. Pedestrians were giving me " the look" but, what can i do?

I maybe slow but sure of my steps. I will get there somehow, time just have to wait.

You did well - a tripod would prevents the cramps.

I agree with Aileni. You did well taking that picture. I can attest to use of a tripod. That's how I took pictures of Weezie jumping through the hoop. I was lying down, propped on my elbows taking those pictures. The tripod allowed me to keep the camera in place while I moved around in between shots.

Sweet little creature, taking its time. I have never seen a snail in the desert where I live. Nice monochrome!

Eng, it's been a while since I last saw a snail like that. I remember when I was kid I use to see those snails in the backyard but now it's gone. Thanks for sharing.

Patience is a virtue that not a lot of people are blessed with. I wish my mom made it my Middle Name so that I would not have problems with the waiting game. LOL. Nice photo. Keep it up.

Reminds me of my pet when I was 8 years old! A white snail named "Peter" :)

I loved him terribly and kept him in a plastic basin filled halfways with water and sand and there was a little rock island in the middle of the water and sand, where Peter could retreat to! :)

I swear he used to look up at me with his long little eyes popping out, looking up at me! Is swear, he loved me too!

I am still saddened by his sudden death (death by huge chunk of frozen meat accidentally falling on top of him)... whoever knew you could really love a snail so much like that! :)
