The road less traveled by....

A couple of weeks ago, i happened to dropped by Brenda Photo Challenge Blog. She has a new challenge this Saturday about highways or biways - a road, path, hiking trail, river, highway - which will lead you to somewhere. I think it is fun and so, i joined The Salitype Society. It is perfect timing as weekends here at Salitype are fun with photos. Here are some foothpaths or trails i happened to thread last week while the hubby and i went for a long walk.

And yes, these paths on the countryside definitely leads me somewhere. There, right on top of a mountain with the English Channel as a backdrop!

a deserted two way road

a lone traveler down a lone path

an open field path

a fenced path

a foot path in the woods

a path by the cliff

a coast path. no, i wasn't contemplating of jumping, simply admiring the view!

Eng,
I love your choice of pathways, they are all beautiful. The path along the coast is my favorite, I love the ocean.
Thanks for taking part in the challenge.

Hi Eng, Yes---there are many 'paths' to travel through life. We are traveling from Florida into Georgia today. I love the hiking paths myself best of all.

Great post.
Hugs,
Betsy

And how we parallel our lives to the different paths we take.

Great photos, and I love the countryside feel.

what a lovely variety of paths, eng! i enjoyed looking at your photos. thanks for sharing them with us! i, too, am a big fan of pathways .. specially the ones less traveled. my favorite among your photos was the footpath through the woods. i love how the trees' branches at the end of that path intertwine, forming some kind of mysterious looking canopy that seems to beckon to any bravehearted hiker, urging him/her to come and explore further:) roads are very symbolic, too, that's why i like 'em. they represent the various choices we make in life. we take one road and it leads us to something good .. we take another, and it could lead us to tears and heartache .. and so on, and so forth:) hey, how about writing a poem about roads for us, eng? something about roads and life and choices.. you are so great at poetry. your awesome pathway pictures seem to beg for a poem to go with them:) let me know if the muse strikes .. i'd love to read a poem about pathways:) by the way, the view of the english channel at the end of your walk is awesome!! what a reward after trekking down all those long and winding paths ..

thank you all! my journey will never be the same if it were not for you. what makes the walk interesting is those you met along the way and makes it worthwhile. the view is another matter!

mj, girl! couple of months ago i wrote something abour road, why one differs from the other....some are narrow and some are wide, others are well lit and there's few hidden in the dark...drawing parallel to life.

i have to abondon it if only for awhile as i felt it was too forced. i need to find that elusive spark to finish it off...hopefully soon! thanks for reminding me. i catually forgot about it!
